BMW 2000C Tyres
Longstone's recommended BMW 2000C & 2000CS Neue Klasse classic tyre is the 175 HR 14 Michelin XAS or the 195/70 VR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36
BMW 2000 CS
BMW 2000C & CS 1966−1970
- The BMW 2000C & BMW 2000CS 'Neue Klasse' would ideally be suited to a set of 175 HR 14 Michelin XAS.
- We can now offer the 175HR14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67, a period classic tyre with superb performance-focused qualities.
- Whilst the 175 R 14 Vredestein is the cheaper option, the luxury ride & handling of the BMW 2000C/CS will be noticeably poorer compared to that of one with Michelin XAS' equipped.
- A low-profile tyre option would be the 195/70 VR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 as fitted to the BMW 3.0.
- Our Period Fitment Guides show that the 2000C & CS Neue Klasse fitted tube-type wheels, innertubes are required for these wheels, even if you use tubeless tyres.
- The correct BMW 2000C & BMW 2000CS innertube for 175 R14 and 195/70 R14 tyres is a Michelin 14E.

History of the BMW 2000C/CS
The BMW 2000C & BMW 2000CS were the most attractive of the BMW Neue Klasse series, built by Karmann for BMW between 1966 and 1969. The 2000C & 2000CS were luxury pillarless coupés designed by Wilhelm Hofmeister with Karmann bodywork that served as a showpiece for the new 2.0L engine utilised in BMW 2000 sedans. The BMW 2000C had a single carburettor and either a four-speed manual or three-speed automatic transmission, whilst the BMW 2000CS had twin carburettors and a four-speed manual transmission.
