History of the Gilbern Invader

Built between 1969-1973 the Gilbern Invader was a 2-door coupé that would turn out to be the last car Gilbern would release. It was based upon the Gilbern Genie but utilised an improved chassis and larger brakes. Instead of using the front suspension from an MGB it used that from an MGC and fitted electric windows plus came with the option of an automatic or manual transmission. The MK III version of the Gilbern Invader changed to a Ford Cortina's front suspension with an updated body and styling.
