Clan Tyres
1971 Clan Crusader
History of the Clan
The Clan Crusader is a fibreglass monocoque British sports vehicle based on Hillman Imp Sport running gear, including its rear-mounted 875 cc Coventry Climax engine. It was initially manufactured in Washington, Co Durham, England between 1971 and 1974, but various attempts have been made to put the car back into production since then. Martin Phaff (formerly of Ginetta fame) planned to restore the Clan in 2009, but nothing has come of the initiative so yet.
