History of the Panhard 24
The Panhard 24 is a small two-door coupé built by French manufacturer Panhard between 1964 and 1967. It was propelled by a front-mounted air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine, the basic design of which dated back to the 1940s. In 1965, a longer Panhard 24 was introduced and marketed as a two-door four- or five-seat saloon. Plans for a four-door variant, which would have allowed the automobile to more successfully replace the commercially successful Panhard PL 17 saloon, were sadly never realised.
