History of the Alvis 4-3 Litre
The Alvis 4.3 Litre, together with the Speed 25, replaced the Alvis Speed 20 2.8-litre and 312-litre versions and was widely considered as one of the greatest cars manufactured during the 1930s. Alvis did not manufacture the bodies for the Speed 25 and 4,3 Tourer. The vehicles were provided in chassis form, with the beautiful car bodywork being built by other manufacturers. The front end of the 4.3 was domineering, with huge headlights, fog lights, and passing lights. The fact that this model is the only one to have received the prestigious Ladies Choice Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) Oxford Concourse award two years in a row adds to its allure.
