Mercedes-Benz 250 1965–1972
1967 Mercedes 250 S W108
Mercedes-Benz W108 & W111 Fintail Tyres (1965–1967)
- The W108 Mercedes 250S and W111 Fintail 250SE of 1966 and 1967 came with 7.35-14 crossply tyres; there isn't currently a crossply we would recommend in this size.
- We recommend radial tyres sized 185R14, for which we recommend 185 HR 14 Michelin MXV-P tyres.
Due to limited production of the 250 SL we have had to use an image of a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL W113
Mercedes-Benz W113 250 SL Pagoda Tyres (1966–1968)
- The W113 Mercedes 250SL Pagoda came fitted with 185-14 Tyres. Michelin make the 185 R 14 Michelin MXV Whitewall if you want your 250SL on whitewall tyres.
Mercedes Benz 250 C W114
Mercedes-Benz W114 250C Tyres (1968–1972)
- Longstone's recommendation for the W114 Mercedes 250 and 250 C is the 175 HR 14 Michelin XAS.
- Some 250 C and CE models from 1971 had the option of fitting 185R14 tyres; in this size, the 185 HR 14 Michelin MXV-P is the best option.
- Another option for post-1971 models was the low-profile 195/70 R14 size. In this size, we can recommend the excellent 195/70 VR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36.
- Some of these 1968–1972 W114 Mercedes 250 cars originally came fitted with 6.95-14 crossply tyres, but the 175 HR 14 Michelin XAS is much better suited to modern roads than any crossply tyre.
- Some 250S and SE models made after 1971 could fit 205/70 R14 tyres according to one of our fitment guides. In this size the 205/70 WR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 is the ideal tyre.
Mercedes-Benz 250 Innertubes
- In this period, Mercedes built their cars with wheels that needed innertubes. Our fitment guides below provide evidence that tubes are required for Mercedes-Benz 250 cars.
- These 175R14 tyres would best fit a Michelin 14E innertube.
- The 185R14 tyres are best fitted with Michelin 14F innertubes.
- 195/70 R14 and 205/70 R14 tyres are also best fitted by 14F Michelin innertubes.
