History of the Panhard PL 17
The Panhard PL 17 is a car produced by the French company Panhard between 1959 and 1965. The PL 17 was introduced on June 29, 1959, as the replacement of the Panhard Dyna Z. It was based on the older car, but with a more streamlined body than its predecessor. The four-door saloon was supplemented in 1961 by the Cabriolet and in April 1963 a five-door estate variant. The Panauto Break had a larger wheelbase but was the same total length as the Break. It was made in relatively tiny quantities, with just approximately 2,500 produced in all.
