Porsche 944 1982–1991

When the first 944 came out it fitted 185/70 WR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 or 215/60 WR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36.
A 185/70 R15 can be run with tubes, the Michelin 15E innertube will fit these tyres best.
The 944 fitted tubeless wheels, therefore innertubes are optional for these wheels providing your wheel rims are in good condition.
Some of these early pre-1986 2.5 litre 944 cars fitted 16” wheels with 205/55YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7.
Tyres with a profile below 70% (e.g 205/55YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7) should not fit innertubes.
In the mid-1980s in some European Countries the 944 2.5 cars with 15” wheels fitted 195/65 R15 tyres. In this size the ideal tyre is the 195/65 R 15 PIRELLI P6000 N.
The majority of 944 on 15” wheels fitted 215/60 R15 tyres. We suggest the 215/60 WR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36, as it is N homologated by Porsche.
The Porsche 944 2.7, 944 S2 up until 1990 fitted 205/55YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 and 225/50 YR 16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 on the rear.
The Porsche 944 Turbo fitted 205/55YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 & 245/45 YR 16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 from 1985 until 1991.
The 944 S2 and 944 S2 cabriolet also fitted the wider rear 245/45 YR 16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7.
In some countries, some of the series 2 Porsche 944 may have fitted Yokahama A008.

(1982-1986) 944 2.5 = 185/70VR15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 N & 215/60 VR15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 N or 205/55YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7
(1984-1989) 195/65 R15 was also an option.
