History of the Honda S800
Built between 1966-1970, the Honda S800 was the successor to the Honda S600 and was the company's "image car" that directly competed with similar 2-door sports cars like the Austin-Healey Sprite, MG Midget, Triumph Spitfire and Fiat 850 Spider. It was available as either a coupe or a roadster, and initiallys used a chain driver and independent suspension in the rear before switiching to a drive-shaft, live axle read end with four radius rods and a panhard rod and then later stull switching to disc brakes instead of drums.
