History of the Honda Civic
Built between 1972-1979, the first-generation Honda Civic was a subcompact car that came equipped with a four-cylinder 1,169 cc water-cooled engine and had front-powered disc brakes. It was notable for being able to use both leaded and unleaded fuel during the 1970s oil crisis, making it a popular model due to this flexibility. The Honda Civic is today in its eleventh generation, and is the 6th best-selling car of all time, exceeding 18 million chassis sold since the early 70s.
