Panther J72 Tyres
Panther J72 1972–1981
- For a Panther J72 a set of 205/70 VR 15 Michelin XWX is recommended by Longstone Tyres.
- Alternatively, the 205/70 R 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN12 would be another excellent option for the Panther J72.
- For these tyres the Michelin 15F is the ideal innertube.
- A German car magazine used a Jaguar E-Type to conduct a Classic Car Tyre Test. The test highlighted the PIRELLI CINTURATOâ„¢ CN12 as the best 205/70 R15 tyre for classic cars without power steering, while recommending the PIRELLI P5 for vehicles with power steering.

History of the Panther J72
Built between 1972-1981, the Panther J72 was built as a top of the line luxury roadster with a heavy influence from the Jaguar SS100, indeed even using parts from Jaguars like the XJ12's 5.3L V12 Engine. It was also a contender to Rolls Royce in styling and price point, beating the Rolls Royce in 1972 with its impressive coachwork.
