TVR 400SE Tyres
TVR 400SE 1988–1991
- The TVR 400SE from 1988 to 1991 came equipped with 225/50 R15 tyres.
- The best 225/50 R15 tyres for the TVR 400SE are the 225/50 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 or the 225/50 ZR 15 Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetrico.
- The Pirelli P7 were the super car tyres of the late 1970s, and the P-Zero Asimmetrico came out in 1986, and was a real benefit for some super cars.
- We would love to know what the original tyres for the 400SE were. Please email us any information you have.

History of the TVR 400SE
Built between 1988-1991, the TVR 400SE and TVR 450SE were open sports cars that were the last of the 'wedge' type style built. The 400SE was fairly similar to the 390SE, featuring a 3,948cc versus the 390SE's 3,905cc and later on the 450SE would have another increase to 3,993cc. There would also be a few supercharged versions in the TVR 400SX, and the last iteration of the 400SE would be the 430SE with a 4.3-litre V8 engine from the TVR Griffith.
