Produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1937 to 1941, the mid-size luxury W143, also known as Typ 230, was available in multiple body styles: 2 or 4-door "Limousine" sedans, various Cabriolet configurations, a six-seater "Pullman-Limousine," and "Landaulet." The W143 featured the 230 N (1937) and 230 (1937–1941).

Launched in 1961, the Mercedes-Benz W110, an entry-level midsize model, introduced the "Fintail" design inspired by American automotive trends. Active until 1968, the W110 expanded its engine options, including a six-cylinder model, and was notable for its extensive crash testing to enhance safety standards. The only 230 on the W110 chassis is the 1965–1968 230.
- The Mercedes-Benz 230 W110 first fitted a 7.00 - 13 crossply tyres.
- If you want a crossply tyre, we recommend the 6.40/7.00 SR 13 Michelin ZX.
- Alternatively, you could switch to radial tyres for better performance. The radial equivalent size is 185 R13.

Available in sedan, coupe, estate, and limousine, the W123 it gained fame for its durability, especially in challenging conditions. 230 models on the 1976–1986 W123 chassis include the 230, 230C (coupe), 230T (estate), 230 E (fuel injection), 230 CE, and 230 TE.
- The Mercedes 230 on the W123 chassis fitted either 5.5J wheels and 175 R14 tyres, or 6J wheels and 195/70 R14 tyres.
- In these sizes, we recommend the 175 R14 Michelin XAS or the 195/70VR14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36, depending on your car's wheel size.
