The BMW 1600 'Neue Klasse' originally came on a 600x14 crossply tyre. Unfortunately, this size is no longer in production.
165 R14 is the best radial equivalent size to 600x14.
The best radial 165 R14 BMW 1600 tyre is the 165 HR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67.
For these tyres, the Michelin 14D is the ideal BMW 1600 innertube.
For a wider alternative to 165 R14, a set of 185/70 VR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 tyres could instead be fitted.
The correct innertube for 185/70 R14 tyres is the Michelin 14E.

History of the BMW 1600

Replacing the 1500 in 1964 and being constructed up until 1966 the BMW 1600 didn't feature many changes. It still had the unitary construction, disc breaks and independent suspension of the 1500 only a larger engine.
