- 215/60 R15 tyres were mostly fitted to the back of classic Porsche with 185/70VR15 Pirelli CN36 on the front.
- In this size we would suggest the 215/60 WR 15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 as the best tyre for classic sports cars.
- The tyre size 215/60 R15 should not be fitted with an inner tube. Low profile tyres should not fit innertubes.
- (It is true that the first production of 215/60 R15 tyres were tube type tyres, we would advise against fitting inner tubes in 60% profile tyres).
- The tyre size 215/60 R15 was first introduced in 1973 on the rear of a Porsche 911 RS with the Pirelli Cinturato CN36.

The tyre size 215/60 R15 is not a very popular tyre. There is not a wide range of classic cars that fit a 215/60 R15 tyre sizes. The most common user would be the wide range of Classic Porsche that fitted 215/60 R15, predominantly Pirelli tyres to the rear of their fantastic Porsche 911, they were also fitted on early Porsche 944 and Porsche 928. It is worth noting that the majority of the Porsche 911 cars that fitted 215/60 R15 tyres on the front would fit 185/70 R15 tyres on the front. And mostly the Pirelli Cinturato CN36.
