Siata Daina

Siata Daina Classic Tyres

  • The 1.4L and 1.5L Siata Dainas fitted 5.90 - 14 crossply tyres. Unfortunately, no classic tyre manufacturers currently make a 5.90 - 14 tyre, we do however, stock the radial alternative 165 R 14 tyres.
  • The recommended tyre in the size 165 R 14 is the 165 HR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67. The tube we suggest for 165 - 14 tyres is the Michelin 14D.
  • The 1.8L Siata Dainas fitted 5.50 - 16 crossply tyres. The tyre we recommend in this size is the 5.50-16 PIRELLI STELLA BIANCA.
  • The Daina fitted tube-type wheels throughout production, innertubes are required for these wheels.
  • The tube we offer for this size is the Michelin 16E.

History of the Siata Daina

The Siata Daina is an Italian car produced by Siata from 1950 to 1958. It was heavily based on the Fiat 1400 albeit with a reinforced and shortened frame with an adapted engine, namely consisting of new head valves, new manifolds, carburettors, and on a few models, Abarth exhaust systems. The car's bodywork was designed by Stabilimenti Farina. The range featured 1.4L, 1.5L, and 1.8L overhead valve straight-four Fiat engines. Total production figures come at around 200 - 250 made. The most admired models were the Gran Sport models that were used in racing, in particular, made for the Millie Miglia and the International Grand Prix, although its greatest performance was a first in class and third overall victory at the 1952 12 Hours of Sebring.
