The Mercedes-Benz 220 W180 Ponton version from 1956 to about 1960 fitted a 670-13 tyre. Michelin presently make a 6.40/7.00 SR 13 Michelin ZX which is perfect for this car.
For these tyres the Michelin 13F innertube is ideal.

Mercedes-Benz 220 W111 1959–1965
From about 1959 Mercedes-Benz were moving onto the new W111 chassis. At the same time The Mercedes-Benz 220 W111 moved to fitting the 7.25 R 13 Michelin X.
For these tyres the Michelin 13F is the best innertube.

Mercedes-Benz 220 W115 1968–1973
In about 1968 The 220 Mercedes-Benz moved on to the W115 chassis, these used a 695H13 for the first cars which later changed to 175 HR 14 Michelin XAS. This is still the best tyre for these cars.
For these tyres the Michelin 14E is the correct innertube.
Because a good 175R14 was historically not available for a long time many of these cars fitted a 185 HR 14 Michelin MXV-P which is an excellent Mercedes tyre with a raised curbing band on one side.
For these tyres we suggest the Michelin 14F innertube.
Mercedes-Benz 220 Whitewall Tyres
Michelin make excellent whitewall tyres that maintain the handling of a classic Mercedes-Benz, while adding that whitewall embellishment that some people like.
There are also budget white wall tyres available, but we suggest you will benefit from a quality period carcass design of the Michelin.
After a while the W115 220 Mercedes-Benz moved to 14” wheels with 175R14 tyres however the 185 R 14 Michelin MXV Whitewall tyre is great on these later 220 Mercedes-Benz.
