Wolseley 1100 and 1300 1965–1973
- For a Wolseley 1100/1300 a set of 155 R 12 Nankang tyres are recommended by Longstone Tyres.
- The best fitting tube for this tyre is the Michelin 12D innertube.
- Our period fitment guides contradict one another for 1100–1300 models, with some claiming the wheels are tubeless and others that they are tube-type. See our Innertube Page to find out what constitutes a tubeless or tube-type wheel and discover what wheels your car is fitted with.
History of the Wolseley 1100/1300
Built between 1962-1974 the Wolseley 1100 and Wolseley 1300 were some of the variants of the BMC ADO16 family of cars. Following the success of the Mini, the designer Alec Issigonis intended to design a larger car with more advanced features and innovations. It was front-wheel drive with single-piston swinging calliper disc brakes on the front and copied the hydrolastic suspension of the 2CV but with added roll stiffness.
