History of the Jaguar MkIX

The Jaguar Mark IX is a big luxury saloon automobile that was produced between 1959 and 1961. It replaced the old Mark VIII, and the only difference in appearance was the new model designation. In 1961, it was superseded with the longer, broader, and lower contemporary-styled Mark X. The car is renowned for its braking quality for the time, with four-wheel servo-assisted Dunlop disc brakes as standard equipment, as well as recirculating ball power steering, which sees the Mark IX being used routinely on the race track to this day.
