The tyre size 180HR15 is a special tyre, just made in the asymmetric Michelin XAS tread pattern. The 180HR15 Michelin XAS was made specifically for the Citroen DS.
180HR15 White Wall Tyres
Although this 180HR15 Michelin XAS White Wall tyre was made specifically for the Citroen DS the size 180HR15 makes an excellent alternative to a crossply 6.40-15 on some cars such as the Jaguar MK2 saloon and the Daimler 250 V8. These 180HR15 White Wall tyres are also an excellent option for the Austin Healey that originally fitted 590-15 crossply tyres.
However all although a 180HR15 XAS is an excellent radial option for these European cars you should not fit white wall tyres on an Austin Healey that would just be vulgar, as it would fitting white wall tyres on a MK2 Jaguar!
