Austin A30-A35 Tyres
Austin A30 A35 1951–1968
- The Austin A30 & A35 originally fitted 520 - 13 crossply tyres. The Dunlop is no longer made, so we only have a 5.20 x 13 Camac to offer.
- We recommend the 145HR13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67 as the perfect A30 or A35 Austin tyre.
- The A30 & A35 were released on tube-type wheels, and innertubes are therefore required.
- The Michelin 13CG is the ideal A30/A35 innertube for these tyres.
- Some people fit wider 155 R13 Tyres to their Austin A30 & A35's, sometimes because 145R13 tyres were unavailable, sometimes because owners desire a taller or wider tyre. If you decide to fit 155R13 tyres then the 155R13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67 is the ideal choice.
- The ideal innertube for 155R13 tyres is the Michelin 13D.
- As the fashion for wider tyres came around people often fit wider wheels. For this case the best tyre is a 175/70 VR 13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36.
- 175/70 R13 Tyres can be fitted with Michelin 13E innertubes.

Unfortunately there isn’t a top-notch crossply tyre available for these little cars, and because the dual carriageways we drive on allow longer faster cruising speeds a radial tyre of the size 145-13 Tyres will help your A35 or A30 Austin become more suited to our modern roads. The 145HR13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67 is a period tyre with a carcass developed to compliment cars of this period, making these cars drive as well as they possibly can, and being a Cinturato CA67 they also look excellent!

History of the Austin A30/A35 Built between 1951-1968 as Austin's competitor to the Morris Minor, the Austin A30 was a more compact car but with an older steering box and part-hydraulic part-rod brakes. The A30 name applied to the first models with an 803cc engine and four doors with a later two-door version, before being superseded by the superior A35 in 1956. This came with a more powerful 948cc A-series engine as well as a painted grille and larger rear window. The saloon version ceased production in 1959 whilst the van version continued right up until 1968.
