The tyre size 205/70WR14 is of course associated with a Dino, be it a Fiat Dino, Ferrari Dino 206 (flared wheel arch), Dino 246 GT, Dino 246GTS or even a Ferrari Dino 308GT4 they fit a tyre of the size 205/70WR14 (except the very early Ferrari 206 cars). These fantastic landmark cars really benefit from the extra road holding a 205/70WR14 tyre gave them. 70% profile tyres became available in 1968 and the Ferrari Dino was on the button by fitting a 205/70WR14 tyre in 1969 to it's flared wheel arch cars, and it then became standard fitment. Because the tyre size 205/70WR14 was such a land mark tyre it was also used as standard equipment on other top notch cars like 7 series BMW and Mercedes fitted 205/70WR14 tyres to their 280, 300, 350 & 450 cars right into the middle of the '80s

In 1969 Pirelli introduced the PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ CN36. It was a ground-breaking tire, launching Pirelli into the midst of the high performance low profile tires. The CN36 was was original equipment for a wide range of high performance car manufacturers and today it is a benchmark tyre for classic cars. Having the 205/70WR14 tire in the CN36 range offers the opportunity for some of these cars again to fit an original equipment tire, which will of course handle better than any modern alternative on a car that is developed in conjunction with tires of the '60s, '70s & '80s.
