In 1974 Pirelli developed their new ultra low profile P7 tyres Porsche soon took advantage by fitting 205/50 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 to the front of the Porsche 930 and these 225/50 VR 15 to the rear. When Lamborghini moved the Countach on to the 5000 QV model they increased the front tyre size to fit 225/50 VR 15 on the front and on the rear 345/35 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7.

This Pirelli 225/50 R 15 P7 is part of the excellent Pirelli P7 range which does offer some excellent high performance low profile classic radial tyres, as well as the tyres listed above Pirelli also make a 285/40 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 which fills a gap and makes for an all encompassing brand where really the only other options for tyre of these widths for 15” rims are race tyres like the Michelin TB range and the Pirelli P7 Corsa Classic tyres.
