195/65 R 15 Classic Porsche Tyres
A 195/65 R 15 tyre is a more modern development of a 185/70 R15. Cars such as the Porsche 911 moved from 185/70VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 onto 195/65 R15 or 205/55R16 tyres on the front of its 911 in 1986. Worth noting that when they did this they adjusted and fine-tuned the geometry of the car to suit this very different tyre structure. Also worth noting it wasn’t the 195/65 R 15 P6000 Tyres that the Porsche 911 fitted because it hadn’t been developed until sometime later.
From the 1970s Porsche were moving toward having a wider rear tyre and they fitted 215/60WR15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36. Also in 1986, many Porsche owners chose to 16” wheels fitted with Pirelli 205/55R16 Pirelli P7 front and 225/50R15 Pirelli P7.
