Great news for owners of Classic Mercedes and Triumph Stag there is now a top quality 185 R 14 white wall tyre. For some time there have been a selection of budget alternatives to a white wall 185 R 14 tyre, however having Michelin do it is great news, because even though it is a white wall tyre the Michelin 185 R 14 MXV still has that fantastic carcass structure that allows cars of the period to maintain stability at high speeds.
Maintaining White Wall or White Letter Tyres
Whitewall or raised white letters tyres will need continual maintenance; they are not a fit and forget item. You will need to keep the tyres clean, usually just with hot soapy water.
NEVER USE tyre shine products on Whitewall or RWL letters, many of these products have enhancers for black tyres that will discolour the white rubber permanently.
