Land Rover Tyres
Classic Land Rover Tyres
- Early Land Rover fitted 6.00 x 16 Avon Traction Mileage.
- We also offer a budget 6.00 x 16 Land Rover tyres.
- The ideal innertube for these tyres is the Michelin 16F Reinforced innertube.
- Some early Land Rovers such as the 107" model produced from 1954 to 1956, fitted 7.00-16 tyres as standard. 7.00-16 is also an optional tyre size for many Series I, II, and IIA cars. In this size the 7.00 x 16C Avon Traction Mileage is the best option.
- The 7.00 x 16 Lucas NDT could also be considered, however this tyre is intended for a Willy's Jeep, with the 'bar grip' pattern, making it excellent off-road, but poorly suited to road use, and noisy on tarmac at speed.
- Michelin also make the 205 R 16 Michelin X M+S tyre. This later radial tyre is more suited for the Land Rover Defender 90 and Land Rover Defender 110 than a classic Land Rover.
- The Michelin 16F Reinforced Innertube is the ideal innertube for these tyres.

Land Rover Defender Tyres
The Land Rover Defender was the renaming of the Land Rover 90 and Land Rover 110 of the 1980s. The Land rover 90 and Land Rover 90 fitted the 205R16 Michelin X M+S 244 that Michelin have recently reproduced. This tyre was also fitted to the early Range Rover.
