What better tyre could you fit on one of those beautiful little Italian Sports cars of the late ‘60s, ‘70s and early ‘80s than Pirellis Cinturato 165 X 14 tyres. Through out the period where Alfa Romeo were building little light rear wheel drive sports cars they stuck with 165 X 14 tyres, because that is the way they handled best. If you are wanting to fit a wider tyre then 185/70VR14 Cinturato CN36 would be the best.
MG like Alfa knew the handling benefits of a 165 X 14 tyre and they also fitted the Pirelli Cinturato to their joyous little MGB
165R14 Innertubes
Michelin make excellent innertubes for classic cars. For any tyre of the size 165R14 we would recommend fitting a 14D13 Michelin Innertube if either the wheel or the tyre determines that an inner tube is needed.
The 165R14 Pirelli Cinturato is actually a tubeless tyre, however if it is being fitted to a wire wheel or a wheels with out a safety rib or you are concerned that the wheel it is being fitted to may not be air tight then we would recommend fitting the 14D13 Michelin innertube.
