Rim Band for Wire Wheel 18" - 21"
RIM BAND
This high quality rim band is developed to fit 18”, 19”, 20” and 21” wire wheels for vintage cars. On the majority of vintage car wheels that have thin wire spokes some of those spokes will be fitted to the centeral well of the wheel. In these cases the spoke head protrudes into the center of the wheel rim and without a rim band these spokes would chafe and cause punctures in the inner tube. Fit one of our rim bands into the well of the wheel. Do not attempt to put any form of tape on the bead seat of the wheel, because that will bunch up and cause punctures.
Vintage rim band
This rim band is of a size suited to tall thin vintage wheels of over 17” diameter. We do also however supply a rim band more suited to the smaller wider classic car wheels. Follow the link below;
