The size 165SR15 is a very popular tyre among classic cars. Sports cars such as TR4, TR5 & TR6 would fit 165SR15 as well as a Porsche 356 or early 911. 165SR15 B F Goodrich tyres only have a speed rating S (shown by the S in 165SR15). Instead of 165SR15 a 165HR15 Michelin XAS would be more suited for these sports cars.

Maintaining White Wall or White Letter Tyres

Whitewall or raised white letters tyres will need continual maintenance; they are not a fit and forget item. You will need to keep the tyres clean, usually just with hot soapy water.

NEVER USE tyre shine products on Whitewall or RWL letters, many of these products have enhancers for black tyres that will discolour the white rubber permanently.
