History of the Matra Bagheera
Built between 1973-1980 the Matra Bagheera was a sports car created in collaboration between Matra and Simca, and was marketed the Matra-Simca Bagheera up until 1980 where it became for the final year the Talbot-Matra Bagheera. The body was made of polyester mounted on a steel structure, with the engine mounted behind the passenger compartment (the car being notable for being a three-passenger sports car). Before being replaced in 1980 by the Matra Murena. There were 47,802 Matra Bagheeras built in total.
