500 525X16 Avon Tourist
The tyre size 500/525X16 is a reasonably popular tyre size for British cars of the late 40's and 50's many car such as Austin A 40, Singer Roadster & Ford 10HP would fit tyres of the size 500/525X16. Initially the tyre 500/525X16 would be covered by 2 separate tyres; a 500X16 and a 525X16. However today demand does not justify making 2 different tyres so manufacturers make a 500/525x16 to cover both sizes.
