History of the Simca Ariane

The Simca Ariane was a big saloon automobile introduced by the French carmaker Simca in April 1957. It was produced in the company's Poissy facility until 1963. The Ariane was built until 1963, with 166,363 units produced. Production slowed substantially near the end. In 1961, 33,733 Arianes were constructed, but this figure dropped to 14,284 in 1962. Of this point, the focus at the company's Poissy production had shifted to the new Simca 1000. The Simca 1300/1500, debuted in 1963, is the most direct replacement for the Simca Ariane/Miramas.
