Frog Eye Sprite Tyres
For some time there hasn’t been a perfect tyre for an Austin Healey Frog Eye Sprite, until Pirelli produced the 145HR13 Cinturato CA67 again. It is perfect in every way. The first Frog Eye Sprites fitted 5.20-13 cross ply tyres, which are not so suited to modern roads, on top of that Dunlop no longer make their original tyre which was the best handling crossply for a sportscar. Pirelli now make a 145HR13 Cinturato which is just perfect in everyway, keeping the handling light and precise, but diminishing the wandering you get with a crossply.
Frog Eye Sprite inner Tubes
It is worth noting that on the Michelin inner tube 13 CG 13 it lists 145R13 & 5.20-13 so that is also a perfect option. However many of these little cars have slightly oversized tyres on them and this inner tube works perfectly with 155-13, 165-13, 5.60-13, 5.90-13, 155/70-13 & 165/70-13 tyres.
If your Bug Eye has larger tyres 175/70R13 or 185/70R13 then try the 13 E 13 Michelin inner tube
Always fit inner tubes in wire wheels.
