225/65 ZR 15 Pirelli P4000
The 225/65 ZR 15 PIRELLI P4000 is no longer in production; Pirelli ceased production in 2011. If you are looking for tyres for a classic car in the size 225/65 R15, we recommend the 225/65 WR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P5 for luxury cars from the 1990s, such as the Jaguar XJ40 and Daimler XJ40. If you still have P4000 tyres on your car, they should be replaced as they are too old for safe and effective use.
225/65 ZR 15
The tyre size 225/65 ZR 15 is not the most popular tyre size, it is most commonly fitted to the Jaguar (and Daimler) XJ40. Currently if you need 225/65 ZR 15 tyres we suggest fitting the PIRELLI CINTURATO P5 . The 225/65 WR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P5 is J homologated by Jaguar as the ideal tyre for the Jaguar and Daimler XJ40.
It is also worth noting that a 225/65 ZR 15 tyre of any sort should not be fitted with innertubes. 65% profile tyres should not be fitted with innertubes, and as a result should not be fitted to wire wheels.
Not all the classic Jaguar XJ40 cars did fit 225/65 ZR 15 tyres. Many fitted 390mm wheels for we we can supply the 220/65 VR 390 Avon CR39.
225/65 ZR 15 Tyres
Pirelli ceased production of the P4000 range in 2011. This of course includes the 225/65 ZR 15 Pirelli P4000. There is no plan to reintroduce this tyre at present. If you still have 225/65 ZR15 Pirellli P4000 tyres on your car it is definitely time for a new set of tyres.
