The BMW 1600 Neue Klasse originally came on a 600x13 crossply tyre. Unfortunately, this size is no longer in production.
165 R13 is the best radial equivalent size to 600x13.
The best radial 165 R13 BMW 1600 tyre is the 165R13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36.
The BMW 1600 Neue Klasse fitted tube-type wheels that need innertubes. For 165 R13 tyres, the Michelin 13D is the ideal BMW 1600 innertube.
For a wider alternative to 165 R13, a set of 185/70 VR 13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 tyres could instead be fitted.
The correct innertube for 185/70 R13 tyres is the Michelin 13E.

History of the BMW 1600

Replacing the 1500 in 1964 and being constructed up until 1966 the BMW 1600 didn't feature many changes. It still had the unitary construction, disc breaks and independent suspension of the 1500 only a larger engine.
