Post 1936 Austin 7 cars also fitted 400-17 tyres. today if it is 400-17 tyres you are looking to fit a car we have a Longstone 400/425-17 which we would suggest is the best vintage car tyre in the size 400-17. When fitting tyres to an Austin 7 Ruby if the steering is heavy, first check that is not fitted with 450-17 tyres instead of 400/425-17 tyres. However if it has the correct 400/425-17 tyres on and the steering is still heavy then the 400/425-17 Waymaster is nice and thin and their for lighter on the steering than other tyres in the size 400-17.

Great product with vintage look and feel as well as correct size for early longhood 911’s.

The tyres have not yet been fitted on my Austin 7 but they look as good as those I bought nine years ago and which they will be replacing.
