Michelin TB Tyre Ageing
Tyre deterioration occurs over time, regardless of whether they are actively used or remain idle; this ageing process will eventually result in diminished traction.
Discontinue the use of tyres that show obvious indications of wear or ageing, such as visible cracks in the tread's rubber, deformations, or damage to the sidewall's lower zone. Consulting with a tyre expert is recommended should there be any uncertainty.
For optimal performance, it is suggested to use Michelin Competition tyres no more than two years from the purchase date (or four months if stored under intense tropical climate conditions) and within one year for tyres designed for wet conditions.
270/45R15 Tyres
This 270/45R15 is part of Michelin's TB15 intermediate fully treaded road legal race tyre. Ideal for cars like a classic Porsche 911.
Michelin also manufactures the 270/45VR15 in a semi-slick road legal race tyre. They are called 23/62-15 TB5F which is a soft front compound, & the 23/62-15 TB5R in a more robust rear compound, which is also road-legal and semi-slick.
