We recommend the 30x3½ Wards Riverside as the best tyre for the Ford Model T as it is a very period tyre that was extremely common throughout America because it was produced by the Montgomery Ward's Catalogue which was the first mail order catalogue company and as a result this allowed rural Americans easy access to these tyres.

History of the Ford Model T

The Ford Model T is a car that was produced by Henry Ford's Ford Motor Company from 1908 until 1927 when it was superceded by the Ford Model A.

The Model T is generally regarded as the first affordable car, the car that opened travel to the common middle-class American, some of this was because of Ford's innovations, including assembly line mass production as opposed to individual hand crafting. The first production Model T was produced on August 12, 1908 and left the Piquette Plant factory in Detroit, Michigan on September 27, 1908.

On May 26, 1927, Henry Ford watched the 15 millionth Model T Ford roll off the assembly line at his factory in Highland Park, Michigan. The Ford Model T was the first automobile mass produced on assembly lines with completely interchangeable parts, marketed to the middle class.

Some say it was only available in black........
