280/45VR415 TRX TestaRossa Tyres
The Michelin Tyre 280/45VR415 TRX was made purely to fit the rear of Ferrari’s fabulous Testarossa. The TRX tyres are particularly complicated high quality tyres to make. There is only a limited amount of machinery left that is capable of making such an extraordinary 280/45YR415 tyre size. and the demand was extremely small. Sadly Michelin have been unable to justify the continuation of the production of the 280/45 VR 415 TRX Ferrari TestRossa tyre. We are sorry to say that the 280/45VR415 Michelin TRX has not been available since 2011.
Testarossa Tyres
Sadly, because the Michelin 280/45 R415 TRX is only fitted to the rear half of so very few cars, adding to the problem, is that for years so many of these cars have changed their wheels, 280/45R415 is no longer viable for Michelin to continue to produce. So sadly for now we can only recommend fitting 16” wheels and fitting Pirelli P-Zero or the later Michelin Pilote Sport tyres in the sizes 225/50ZR16 on the front and 255/50R16 on the rear. This is the specification that the later Testarossa fitted.
280/45 VR 415 TRX
The 280/45 VR415 Michelin TRX system is a higher performance low profile tyre and must not be fitted with an inner tube.
