Michelin manufacture 155HR15 in both the Michelin XAS and the Michelin XAS FF (Formula France Racing compound) formats. XAS is Michelins Asymmetric tyre that was developed in 1965 to help the Citroen DS and other cars of that period perform well on the new motorways that were being developed throughout Europe. The 155HR15 Michelin XAS would be a perfect tyre for any of these cars: Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Lancia Flavia, Lancia Appia, Lotus Elite, MGA, Peugeot 403, Peugeot 404, Triumph TR2, Triumph TR3 and Volkswagen Beetle.

Back in the day this tyre could have been listed as a 155HR380, 155R380 or 155-380.

Though not fitting 155HR15 but fitting 165HR13 XAS FF I ran my Ford Cortina with a Zetec engine on the road and track and found them to be exceptional tyres. The Michelin 155HR15 XAS tyres, have the load and speed rating of 82H.
