This Dunlop 5.90X15 RS5 was the original equipment on later Austin Healey and Daimler Dart cars. Sadly Dunlop do not any longer make historic road car tyres, and this 5.90X15 RS5 is no longer produced.

For an Austin Healey 3000 we would recommend fitting the 180HR15 Michelin XAS as our suggestion of the best replacement for the original 590X15 Dunlop RS5. Avon do also make a 5.90X15 TurboSpeed if it is a crossply tyre you are looking for, however on modern roads people generally benefit from fitting a period radial alternative of which the 180HR15 Michelin XAS is perfect for the Austin Healey 3000, and 100/4 and 100/6 for that matter, because it is tall and thin with a well structured carcass.

590 X 15

The standard radial alternative to a 590 X 15 tyre would be a 165HR15 Pirelli Cinturato for cars that do not have the room within the wheel arches to fit the 180HR15, so instead of a crossply 5.90X15 Dunlop RS5 we would suggest fitting the 165HR15 Pirelli Cinturato to cars such as the Daimler Dart SP250.

The Overall Diameter of the 590 H 15 Dunlop RS5 is 660 mm, the width is 163 mm.
