We are very pleased that Avon make the effort to manufacture a 215/60 VR 15 Avon CR6 ZZ. However the most popular fitment for 215/60 VR 15 tyres would be for the classic Porsche 911, which originally fitted 185/70VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 front and 215/60VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 on the rear. We would suggest if it is road tyres you are looking for an early 911 or other classic Porsche for that matter, we would suggest that the Pirelli Cinturato CN36 makes the best road tyres.
Avon CR6 ZZ Tyres
Today the Avon CR6 ZZ range offers an excellent range of tyres, including the 215/60 VR 15 Avon CR6 ZZ. The Avon CR6 ZZ range of tyres have relatively tall side wall suited to a wide range of Avon CR6ZZ 15" rims up to 10.5" wide for classic cars. so the CR6 ZZ range offers tyres for cars such as a modified E - type Jaguar which might fit a 215/60 VR 15 Avon CR6 ZZ on the front and 225/60 VR 15 Avon CR6 ZZ on the rear, and have the same tread and carcass design front and rear which wouldn't be possible without the Avon CR 6 ZZ range.
215/60 VR 15
A 215/60 VR 15 tyre was original equipment on the rear of top not Porsche cars of the 70's. Cars such as Carrera 3 Litre Sport 2.7 RS fitted 215/60 VR 15 rear and 185/70 VR 15 front. Presently the Avon CR 6 ZZ range offers a 215/60VR15 and there is also a 185/70VR15 Avon CR6ZZ which is perfect for early 911 on the race track, However the good news is that Pirelli now make the original equipment Cinturato CN36 tyres again, Homologated with the N from Porsche themselves the CN36 are the best road tyres for an road going early 911, while the CR6 ZZ offers an excellent track option.
