Mercedes 300 Tyres

• The W112 chassis 300 SE & 300 SEL of the early 1960's (’61-’65) we would strongly suggest fitting the Michelin 725SR13 Michelin X.
• From 1965-67 chassis W108 the 300 SEL will be at its best with 185HR14 Michelin MXV-P (7.35X14 crossply was OE).
• In the mid ‘60s Mercedes 300 SE, 300 SEL and 300 SE Coupe moved onto 14” wheels, still on the W112 chassis. We would suggest the 185HR14 Michelin MXV-P is the best option.
• Then the 6.3 litre 300 SEL with the W109 chassis at the end of the ‘60s and the beginning of the ‘70s fitted a FR/70R14. Currently the best tyre for these cars would be either the 205/70VR14 XWX or 205/70WR14 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ CN36.
• The W123 Mercedes 300 D we would suggest fitting the 175HR14 Michelin XAS with a set of Michelin 14E inner tubes.
• Mercedes 300 TD and 300 CD on the W123 chassis fitted 195/70R14 Tyres. There isn’t currently a tyre in that size that we are happy to recommend. We would suggest fitting the Michelin 205/70VR14 XWX or 205/70WR14 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ CN36.
• For almost every recommended tyre mentioned the Michelin 14F inner tube will fit the best.
