History of the Daimler Majestic Major
The Daimler Majestic Major was built from 1960 to 1968 and featured Daimler's new 4561cc V8 engine with hemispherical combustion heads. This lead to it pumping out an impressive 220bhp and a top speed of 120mph, coupled with automatic transmission and power steering. A two-ton Limousine version was created in 1961, which was unduly dubbed as a "120mph funeral taxi".
