Honda S800 Tyres

  • Longstone's recommendation for the Honda S800 is the 145HR13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67.
  • 145R13 tyres are best fitted by Michelin 13CG innertubes.
  • Some Honda S800 owners fit 155 R13 Tires either because 145R13 ones are rare or they prefer a broader tire. If the 155R13 size is on your mind, the 155R13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67 is the top choice.
  • For the best 155R13 innertube, choose the Michelin 13D.
  • Our period Innertube Guides suggest that the S800 left the factory on tube-type tyres, with innertubes fitted, throughout its production. If the wheels are original equipment you will need innertubes.

History of the Honda S800

The Honda S800, which was built between 1966 and 1970, was the successor of the Honda S600 and the company's "image car," competing directly with similar 2-door sports cars such as the Austin-Healey Sprite, MG Midget, Triumph Spitfire, and Fiat 850 Spider. It was offered as a coupe or a roadster, and it began with a chain driver and independent suspension in the rear before converting to a drive-shaft, live axle read end with four radius rods and a Panhard rod, and later still switching to disc brakes instead of drums.
