185VR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ CA67
185VR16 CINTURATO ™
185VR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ CA67 was a very important tyre. This 185VR16 tyre was the beginnings of radial tyres being manufactured to fit imperial inch sized wheels, which were the norm on the majority of cars. This tyre, 185VR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ CA67, was original equipment on Maseratis from the 50's up until the mid 60's. Also some 250 Ferrari cars fitted the 185VR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™.
Many British cars such as XK120, XK140 & XK150 Bristol 401, 403, 406, 407, 408 & 409, Triumph Gloria & Renown, Riley RM and Pathfinder would have originally fitted a vintage crossply tyre of the size 600X16. Fitting a radial tyre such as 185VR16 CINTURATO ™ would dramatically improve the road holding and longevity of a tyre. Today particularly fitting 185VR16 a PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ will improve the handling of these cars because it is a tyre that is designed to suit cars such as these, compared to other tyres where you have a modern tyre designed for a different type of car which would also fit.
Back in the 50's and 60's Aston Martin fitted DB2, DB2/4, DB MK3 and DB4 with the crossply tyres 600H16 Avon TurboSpeed. However if a customer wanted to fit a radial upgrade it was the 185VR16 CA67 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ that was offered.
