Triumph 1300

Triumph 1300 1965–1970

  • For Triumph 1300 tyres a set of 155R13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67 or 155 HR 13 Michelin XAS FF is recommended by Longstone Tyres.
  • The Michelin XAS tyre will really assist the handling of the Triumph 1300 with its asymmetric tread pattern and fantastic road holding needed on today's faster roads.
  • Our period fitment guides disagree with one another on the wheel type of the 1300. Dunlop guides state the 1300 ran tubeless wheels, Michelin Guides suggest the wheels are tube-type. see our Innertube Page for help finding your wheel type (if in doubt fit a tube).
  • The correct tube for these tyres is the Michelin 13D innertube.

History of the Triumph 1300

Built between 1965 and 1970. The Triumph 1300 was a compact four-door saloon that was supposed to replace the Triumph Herald but was later included in the Dolomite series in the 1970s, along with its replacement, the Triumph 1500. There would also be a 1968 1300TC variant that utilised the Triumph Spitfire's dual SU carb engine. There would be 113,008 basic Triumph 1300s and 35,342 1300TCs built in total.
