The Alfa Romeo 1750 to the memory of Vittorio Jano, and his 1750 from the 1930's. The Alfa Romeo 1750 was released in 1968, the aim was to replace the Giulia saloon. Its target market was Alfa's mature customers, offernig superior performance and tremendous reserves of power, without sacrificing the comfort now expected from a high class saloon. The car was spacious inside, yet still held together an aerodynamic stature. It made its debut at Francorchamps 24-hour race, four cars competed, and claiming the first four positions for production Touring cars. The Saloon 1750 was launched at the Turin Motor Show in 1970, it comprised of a double breaking circuit, iodine lights, fully dropping windscreen wipers, and top hinged brake and clutch pedals.
